Google introduced the Gemini Nano Banana, its latest AI image model. Designed for improved character consistency and faster image generation, Nano Banana made waves on the ranking platform LMArena before its official release.
You can now access the official version of Nano Banana, called Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, through the Gemini app. This lets you create and edit images with high accuracy.
Gemini Nano Banana helps keep characters looking the same during edits. Unlike older models, you can now change things like clothing color, accessories, or backgrounds without changing the main person or object in the picture.
The new image blending feature in Google Gemini AI lets you combine two images into one. Results depend on your inputs and prompts, giving both casual users and designers more creative options.
Gemini 2.5 Flash Image supports multi-turn edits, so you can keep refining your images with several prompts while keeping the main character consistent. This is great for step-by-step design or making detailed changes.
Developers can utilize Gemini AI features through the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, or Vertex AI for business applications. It costs $30(approximately Rs. 2,600) for a million output tokens, and each image uses about 1,290 tokens, which is roughly four cents(approximately Rs. 3.5) per image.
Google Gemini AI, together with the Gemini Nano Banana model, raises the bar for AI image creation and editing. With better character consistency, multi-turn editing, and image blending, it’s a strong tool for designers, developers, and everyday users. You can use it through the Gemini app or enterprise APIs, making AI-powered creativity more accessible.
